How the lightening works

With ultra-short light pulses the colour pigment in the tattoo is broken down into fine particles, which the body gradually breaks down. I work calmly over the area and match the intensity to the skin and tattoo. For a visible picture, a series of sessions spaced apart is usually needed.

How completely a tattoo fades is individual and depends on size, colours and skin type. The price is based on size and effort. A particular result cannot be guaranteed — I frame that honestly for you in the consultation.

How your treatment works

  1. Consultation & cleansing — We discuss the area and your cosmetic goal; I cleanse the skin and clarify possible points such as a fresh tan or acute skin conditions in advance.
  2. Preparation — I set the PicoSure handpiece to the skin and area.
  3. Treatment — I guide the handpiece evenly over the area; the ultra-short light pulses work on the visual appearance of pigment spots and uneven skin tone or on tattoo lightening — experienced as well tolerable. Cosmetic treatment, not a medical procedure.
  4. Care & finish — To finish, I soothe and nourish the skin. Please avoid the sun in the days afterward and use sun protection.
