Isabel Mercedes Berk is the founder and owner of Isabels Beauty Club in Munich-Laim (since 2001). She studied medicine at the Universidad Central del Ecuador and has worked in professional cosmetics for over 25 years — an evidence-based, cosmetic approach rather than healing promises.
At 23 I completed my medical studies in Ecuador — at the Universidad Central del Ecuador in Quito, a dream come true. The path to Germany brought unexpected hurdles: having my degree recognised within the German health system proved complicated. Rather than give up, I chose my own path — one that turned out to be exactly right for my true passion.
Shortly after graduating I founded my own studio. With courage, practical intelligence and great ambition I built a business that has grown for over two decades. For ten years I ran it on pure practice, intuition and a deep understanding of my clients' needs.
In 2010 I complemented my years of practice with formal professional training: the Kosmetikerin-Fachschule (German cosmetics academy) — not as a beginner, but as an experienced entrepreneur who wanted to systematise her knowledge. Since then I have kept training without pause:
Today, 25 years after founding it, Isabels Beauty Club is the result of this vision — with a dedicated team of beauticians and beauty therapists, for skincare & facial treatments, lash & brow design, permanent make-up and hair removal.
