PMU full lip shading is a cosmetic pigmentation procedure in which the entire lip surface is underlaid with colour pigments in fine layers, to accentuate a more even lip with more definition. At Isabels Beauty Club in Munich-Laim, we take our cue from the individual lip tone. A session usually takes about 75 minutes.
With full lip shading I pigment not only the contour, but the entire lip surface in fine layers. My goal is not a made-up lipstick effect, but a more even, fresher lip with more definition.
For the color choice I take my cue from your natural lip tone and choose it deliberately restrained. This way the result looks harmonious and everyday-friendly even without makeup.
Difference from contour only
While a contour only emphasizes the edge, with full shading I create a continuous, softly fading tone across your entire lip. This is especially sensible for pale or uneven lips.
The color choice
I don't choose a covering foreign tone, but a shade that picks up your own tone and gently enhances it. This keeps the impression natural.
How the appointment unfolds
First we coordinate shape and color together. Then I pigment in fine layers. In total the treatment takes about 75 minutes.
What is normal right afterward
Freshly pigmented lips look more intense at first and often a little fuller. Only in the days of healing does the color settle into a softer final tone.
Longevity and follow-up work
Lip PMU also fades over time. I often work on it once more to round off tone and shape evenly.
How your treatment works
- Consultation & pre-drawing — We discuss what you would like; I measure precisely and draw on in advance until the shape sits right.
- Colour selection — Together we choose the matching shade.
- Pigmentation — After numbing, I work the colour pigments in evenly with ultra-fine needles.
- Finish & aftercare notes — At the end I go over the care. A follow-up session usually follows after a few weeks.
